Adamax, formally known as N-Acetyl Semax-Adamantane, is a nine–amino acid research peptide derived from the Semax framework (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro), itself based on the ACTH(4-10) sequence. 

It is strictly a research compound, primarily utilized in academic settings for cognitive peptide studies. Because its use base is relatively limited compared to Semax, standardized dosing and real-world experiential data remain less established.

In terms of mechanism, Adamax is studied for its effects on the central nervous system, particularly its role in increasing brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). BDNF is a protein involved in neuronal growth, learning, memory formation, and cognitive performance.
